Dallas ist eine Stadt in Paulding County im US-Bundesstaat Georgia. Dallas ist Sitz der Countyverwaltung (County Seat) von Paulding County.

Geschichte

Die Stadt wurde am 14. Mai 1852 gegründet und benannt nach George Mifflin Dallas, dem US-Vizepräsidenten von 1845 bis 1849 unter James K. Polk.

Während des Amerikanischen Bürgerkriegs spielte die Stadt im Atlanta-Feldzug von Mai bis September 1864 eine größere Rolle, da hier die Schlacht von Dallas (siehe: en:Battle of Dallas) am 28. Mai 1864 stattfand. Daran erinnert heute das New Hope Church monument.
