Gennadi Dmitrijewitsch Zygankow (russisch Геннадий Дмитриевич Цыганков; * 16. August 1947 in Wanino; † 26. Februar 2006) war ein russischer Eishockeyspieler und -trainer.

Karriere

Zur Saison 1962/63 begann der Verteidiger seine Karriere bei SKA Chabarowsk und er blieb hier bis er 1969 zum damaligen Eliteclub HK ZSKA Moskau wechselte. Insgesamt erzielte er 52 Tore in 362 Spielen in der sowjetischen Liga. Schon früh wurde er in das Team der Sowjetischen Eishockeynationalmannschaft berufen. Am 2. März 1971 stand er in einem Spiel gegen Schweden zum ersten Mal für die Sbornaja auf dem Eis. Seine internationale Karriere wurde mit den Goldmedaillen bei den Olympischen Winterspielen 1972 und 1976 gekrönt. Für die Nationalmannschaft erzielte er 17 Tore in 201 Länderspielen. Er wurde sechs Mal mit seiner Mannschaft Weltmeister (1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1978 und 1979). 1972 wurde er in die „Russische Hockey Hall of Fame“ aufgenommen. Am 25. April 1979 bestritt er sein letztes Länderspiel. Später war er noch als Trainer im Eishockeybereich tätig.
