Ein Apple Martini (Appletini)

Der Apple Martini, auch bekannt als Appletini, ist ein international verbreiteter Cocktail aus der Gruppe der Shortdrinks. Nach den Regeln der International Bartenders Association (IBA), zu deren „offiziellen Standard-Cocktails“ er gehört, wird der Drink aus 4 cl Wodka und je 1,5 cl Apfelschnaps und Cointreau zubereitet, auf Eis geschüttelt und ohne Eis in einem Martinikelch serviert. Üblich sind auch Kombinationen mit Apfelsaft oder Apfelwein.

Variationen

Andere Versionen sind der Rumpletini mit einem weißen Rum statt des Wodkas, und der Sapplebuca meist mit Sambuca und einem Apfelgetränk. Ein großer Favorit ist Sambuca + saurer Apfel + Limonade mit einem Schuss Wodka auf Eis serviert mit einer Zitronenscheibe.

Kulturelle Bezüge

Der Apple Martini ist das Lieblingsgetränk von JD, einer Figur in der TV-Serie Scrubs, der ihn ironischerweise für einen „Straight-Guy Drink“ (dt.: „Getränk für echte Männer“) hält und ihn „easy on the tini“ („mit wenig tini“) bestellt.

Einen Appletini zu probieren steht auf dem Fantasies Board des US-Komikers Stephen Colbert.[1]
