Athirat

Athirat ist eine ugaritische Göttin. Nach den Ras-Shamra-Texten ist sie die Königin der See (rbt.t.mt.ym). Ihre Söhne sind Šahar (Šh.r), Šalim (Šlm) und Athtar (ʿt.tr). Nach einem anderen ugaritischen Text (RS 24.252) ist Atiratu auch die 'Königin des hohen Himmels', šamīm ramīm (Excelsis).

Im Alten Testament ist Aštoreth die Göttin von Sidon (1 Könige xi, 5).
