Angus Deaton

Angus Stewart Deaton (* 19. Oktober 1945 in Edinburgh) ist ein britischer Ökonom. Er ist Professor für Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Princeton University.

Leben

Deaton studierte Ökonomie an der Cambridge University (B.A., 1967; M.A., 1971) und promovierte dort 1974. 2009 wurde er zum Präsidenten der American Economic Association gewählt.

Arbeit

Deatons Forschungsinteressen sind Gesundheits- und Entwicklungsökonomie, sowie die Befragung und das mikroökonomische Verhalten von Haushalten.
