Anthony Theodore Lobo

Anthony Theodore Lobo (* 4. Juli 1937 in Karatschi) ist Altbischof von Islamabad-Rawalpindi.

Leben

Anthony Theodore Lobo empfing am 8. Januar 1961 die Priesterweihe und wurde in den Klerus des Erzbistums Karachi inkardiniert. Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte ihn am 8. Juni 1982 zum Weihbischof in Karatschi und Titularbischof von Oescus.

Der Erzbischof von Karachi, Joseph Marie Anthony Kardinal Cordeiro, spendete ihm am 1. Oktober desselben Jahres die Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren waren die Emanuele Gerada, Apostolischer Pro-Nuntius in Pakistan, und John Joseph, Weihbischof in Faisalabad.

Am 28. Mai 1993 wurde er zum Bischof von Islamabad-Rawalpindi ernannt. Von seinem Amt trat er am 18. Februar 2010 zurück.
