Electric Car Corporation C1 ev'ie ist die Bezeichnung für ein Elektroauto, das aus einem gewöhnlichen Citroën C1 mit der Ersetzung des Verbrennungsmotorenantriebs durch einen Elektroantrieb entsteht. Seit 30. April 2009 wird das Modell von der Electric Car Corporation auf dem Markt angeboten. Der Preis wird mit £ 16.850,-- angegeben[3][4][5].
Karosserie und Fahrwerk des Electric Car Corporation C1 ev'ie entsprechen im Wesentlichen dem normalen C1. Die technischen Änderungen für das elektrisch angetriebene Modell sind ein Getriebe mit fester Übersetzung und eine Nutzbremse mit ABS. Das serienmäßig eingebaute Fünfganggetriebe bleibt erhalten, wird aber im dritten Gang fixiert. Die regenerative Bremse wird automatisch teilweise aktiviert, wenn man das Gaspedal loslässt, nicht erst, wenn man das Bremspedal betätigt. So wirkt sie wie eine Motorbremse, anstatt dass man den Gang herausnimmt und den Wagen rollen lässt[1].
Da die Batterien anstelle des Benzintanks und zusätzlich in den bisherigen Motorraum eingebaut sind, geht gegenüber dem normalen C1 kein Kofferraumplatz verloren[1]. Die Reichweite liegt bei 97–120 km bei 6 Stunden Batterieladezeit[2].
Der Wagen wird an einer normalen Haushaltssteckdose aufgeladen[1][2].
