Das Hausdorff Center for Mathematics (Deutsch: Hausdorff-Zentrum für Mathematik) ist eine Forschungseinrichtung in Bonn, die von den vier mathematischen Instituten an der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Mathematisches Institut, Institut für Angewandte Mathematik, Institut für Numerische Simulation, Forschungsinstitut für Diskrete Mathematik), vom Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik (MPI) und vom Institut für Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften getragen wird. Es entstand im Rahmen der Exzellenzinitiative des Bundes und der Länder zur Förderung von Wissenschaft und Forschung an deutschen Hochschulen als so genannter Exzellenzcluster. (Das Hausdorff Center for Mathematics ist der einzige Exzellenzcluster im Bereich Mathematik in ganz Deutschland.)[1] Am 13. Oktober 2006 wurde der Antrag der Bonner Wissenschaftler bei der Exzellenzinitiative bewilligt, offiziell wurde das Zentrum mit einem Eröffnungskolloquium am 19. und 20. Januar 2007 eröffnet. Professuren an diesem Zentrum werden "Hausdorff chairs" genannt.
Insgesamt sind etwa 50 Bonner Professoren an dem Zentrum beteiligt: alle Professoren der Mathematik, des MPI und der theoretischen Ökonomie. Dazu gehören der MPI-Direktor Gerd Faltings (Fieldsmedaillenträger) und Reinhard Selten, der 1994 für seine Forschung in der Spieltheorie den Nobelpreis für Ökonomie erhalten hat.
Benannt ist das Zentrum nach dem Mathematiker Felix Hausdorff (* 8. November 1868; † 26. Januar 1942).
