Joseph Edward Troy (* 3. September 1931 in Chatham) ist emeritierter Bischof von Saint John, New Brunswick.

Leben

Joseph Edward Troy empfing am 28. Mai 1959 die Priesterweihe und wurde in den Klerus des Bistums Bathurst inkardiniert.

Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte ihn am 1. März 1984 zum Bischof von Saint John, New Brunswick. Die Bischofsweihe spendete ihm der Bischof von Saint John, New Brunswick, Arthur Joseph Gilbert, am 22. Mai desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren waren Edgar Godin, Bischof von Bathurst, und Francis John Spence, Erzbischof von Kingston und Bischof des Kanadischen Militärordinariates.

Nach dem Rücktritt Arthur Joseph Gilberts folgte er am 2. April 1986 ihm als Bischof von Saint John, New Brunswick nach. Von seinem Amt trat er am 24. September 1997 zurück.
