Die European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC); Europäischer Gewerkschaftsbund (EGB) ist der europäische Dachverband der Gewerkschaften mit Sitz in Brüssel (Belgien).

Die sektorübergreifende Organisation wurde am 9. Februar 1973 von 17 Gewerkschaftsverbänden aus 15 Staaten gegründet und vertrat rund 29 Millionen gewerkschaftlich organisierte Mitglieder. Es ist eine Nachfolgeorganisation des Europäischen Bundes freier Gewerkschaften in der EWG und des "Gewerkschaftskongresses" der EFTA-Staaten.

Der erste Präsident der ETUC war Victor Feather (Großbritannien), der von drei Vizepräsidenten unterstützt wurde, darunter Heinz Oskar Vetter vom Deutschen Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB). Der erste Generalsekretär der ETUC war Theo Rasschaert (Belgien).

Ihr gehören im Dezember 2008 82 nationale Gewerkschaftsverbände aus 36 europäischen Staaten als Mitglieder an, darunter der Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB), der Österreichische Gewerkschaftsbund (ÖGB) sowie der Schweizerische Gewerkschaftsbund (SGB) und Travail.Suisse.

Präsidentin der ETUC ist seit Mai 2007 die Schwedin Wanja Lundby-Wedin von der Landsorganisationen i Sverige (LO). Generalsekretärs der ETUC ist John Monks (Großbritannien), Trades Union Congress (TUC).

ETUC ist Mitglied in der Europäischen Bewegung International.
