γ Cassiopeiae (Gamma Cassiopeiae, kurz γ Cas) ist ein eruptiv veränderlicher Stern vom Typ Be-Stern, dessen scheinbare visuelle Helligkeit im Laufe einiger Jahrzehnte irregulär zwischen +1,6 mag und +3,4 mag schwankt. Gegenwärtig (2009) hat der Stern eine Helligkeit von +2,15 mag. Er gehört zur Spektralklasse B0 und ist ca. 550 Lichtjahre entfernt.

Der Stern trägt den Eigennamen Tsih (auch Cih, aus dem Chinesischen).

Trivia

Die Crew von Apollo 1 um den Kommandanten Virgil Grissom benutzte den Stern zu Kalibrierung ihrer Geräte. Navi rückwärts gelesen bedeutet Ivan, dies war der Zweitvorname von Grissom und wurde als Verballhornung dementsprechend von der Crew umbenannt und der Bodenstation dementsprechend gemeldet.
