Gedrosien ist der antike Name einer trockenen Bergregion im Süden des heutigen Irans und Pakistans. Es war eine Satrapie im Achämenidenreich.

Im Süden grenzt Gedrosien an den Golf von Oman, im Osten an den Indus, im Norden an Arachosien und Drangianien und im Westen an Karmanien. Das Gebiet Gedrosiens erstreckte sich östlich von Isfahan bis in das Gebiet des heutigen Belutschistan.

Auf seiner Rückkehr 325 v. Chr. von seinem Indienfeldzug, durchzog Alexander der Große die Wüsten Gedrosiens. Hier soll er wegen des widrigem Klimas drei Viertel seiner Soldaten verloren haben. Einige Historiker sehen hierdrin eine Bestrafung Alexanders, da seine Soldaten ihm bei seinem Indienfeldzug nicht genügend unterstützen wollten.

Gedrosien zählt zu den trockensten Regionen der Erde und wird heute von nomadischen Wüstenvölkern bewohnt.
