Vendsyssel ist (zusammen mit Thy) eine Landschaft auf der mittelgroßen Insel Vendsyssel-Thy (oder Nordjütländische Insel), welche nördlich des Limfjords im nördlichen Dänemark liegt. Das ungefähr 3000 km² große Gebiet liegt zwischen Kattegat und Skagerrak.

Der Westen Vendsyssels ist geprägt von breiten und flachen Stränden sowie von Steilküsten bei Rubjerg. In den 30′er Jahren wurden bei Blockhus und Løkken große Ferienhausgebiete errichtet. Die Ostküste hat wesentlich schmalere Strände, die Wassertiefe nimmt nur langsam ab und meist liegen Sandbänke vor dem Ufer. Die Landschaft ist wesentlich hügeliger und stärker bewaldet, als der Westen Vendsyssels. Im Norden engt sich die Landschaft nach Grenen, der Spitze von Dänemark, zu. Dabei ist die Landschaft ab Råbjerg in Richtung Skagen von Dünen und Moränen geprägt. Dort befindet sich auch die Wanderdüne Råbjerg Mile.

Es bestehen gute Fähr- und Brücken- und Tunnelverbindungen zum übrigen Jütland.
