Çaycuma ist eine Stadt und ein Landkreis der Provinz Zonguldak in der Schwarzmeer-Region der Türkei. Der Landkreis liegt im Osten der Provinz und grenzt an Bartın. Die Stadt und der Landkreis liegen an der Mündung des Filyos Çayı.

Çaycumas Hauptarbeitgeber ist die Papierfabrik Seka. Des Weiteren hat Çaycuma zahlreiche Gewerbegebiete. Seit zwei Jahren ist der Flughafen Saltukova für den internationalen Flugverkehr geöffnet. Es finden jede Woche Flüge zwischen Düsseldorf und Zonguldak statt.

Derzeitiger Bürgermeister ist Mithat Gülşen von der Regierungspartei AKP. Er wurde am 29. März 2009 mit 50,2 % zum zweiten mal hintereinander wiedergewählt. [2]
