Play Strindberg (Der Todestanz nach August Strindberg) ist eine Komödie von Friedrich Dürrenmatt, die am 8. Februar 1969 im Theater Basel (Basler Komödie) uraufgeführt wurde. Sie hat eine Spieldauer von etwa anderthalb Stunden.

Handlung

Das Ehepaar Alice und Kurt lebt seit vielen Jahren auf einer Insel. Das Ehepaar ist mit allen Bewohnern der Insel entzweit und sie tragen einen leidenschaftlich geführten Ehekrieg miteinander aus, der durch Feindseligkeit und Aggressivität bestimmt ist. Als Alice Vetter Kurt zu dem bevorstehendem 25 jährigen Hochzeitsjubiläum besucht, entwickelt sich daraus eine neue Eigendynamik. Die gesamte Handlung spielt also auf dieser Insel in einem Turm.
