Thalberg Memorial Award wird seit 1937 an besonders kreative Filmproduzenten vergeben, die sich durch langjähriges, konsequentes Bemühen um hohe künstlerische Qualität bei der Produktion von Filmen hervor getan haben. Der Preis ist eine Nachbildung des Kopfes von Irving Thalberg aus Bronze und wird anlässlich der Oscarverleihung dem Preisträger überreicht.
