Handlung

Megan wird in ihrem Landhaus in der Nähe von New York City von ihren Freundinnen Grace, Hella und Linda besucht. Sie erzählt während des Mittagessens über ihre Eltern, die in einem Autounfall gestorben sind.

Die Frauen treiben in den nächsten Tagen Sport und gehen spazieren. Grace verdächtigt Megan, dass diese manchmal lügt. Megan kommuniziert mit ihrer Nachbarin Sarah, der sie optische Signale gibt.

Kritiken

Leslie Felperin schrieb in der Zeitschrift Variety vom 25. Mai 2006, der Film sei „anmaßend“, „erfunden“ und „technisch schlechter gemacht als durchschnittliches Schulprojekt“. Die meisten der 94 Filmminuten seien „humorlos“. Der Film sei von den Filmen Persona Ingmar Bergmans und Drei Frauen Robert Altmans beeinflusst, aber ihm fehle „intellektuelle Tiefe“. [1]

Rotten Tomatoes schrieb, der Film zeige ein „schmutziges Spiel“ von Irreführung und Einfluss. [2]

Hintergrund

Der Film wurde in Pine Plains (New York) gedreht. [3] Er hatte seine Weltpremiere am 25. Mai 2006 auf den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes. [4]
