Beach to Beacon 10K

Beach to Beacon 10K ist ein Straßenlauf über 10 km, der seit 1998 in Cape Elizabeth (Maine) stattfindet.

Das von Joan Benoit Samuelson ins Leben gerufene Rennen führt vom Crescent Beach State Park (dem Strand – „beach“) zum Portland Head Light (dem Leuchtturm – „beacon“) und ist eines der schnellsten und beliebtesten über diese Distanz in den Vereinigten Staaten. Die 6000 verfügbaren Startplätze waren 2009 innerhalb von zwei Stunden vergeben.[1]
