Die PASS Consulting Group ist ein international tätiges deutsches IT-Beratungs- und Softwareunternehmen mit Hauptsitz in Aschaffenburg. PASS steht für Process Automation System-Concepts and Solutions.

Geschichte

Die PASS Consulting Group ist eine Holding. Die Holding-Gesellschaft ist die PASS Consulting Services GmbH. Sie gehört zu 76 % zur PASS IT-Consulting Dipl.Inf. G. Rienecker GmbH & Co. KG (PIT). Die PIT wurde 1981 als PASS EDV-Beratung von Gerhard Rienecker nach Beendigung seines Informatikstudiums gegründet. Die Holding-Struktur (PASS Gruppe) entstand nach und nach durch Ausgründungen von Geschäftsbereichen. 1992 eröffnete PASS die Niederlassung in Frankfurt am Main. Zwischen 1996 und 1999 entstanden ausländische Zweigstellen in New York City und Miami, während im Inland Geschäftsstellen in München, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf und Hamburg gegründet wurden.

2001 wurde die Global Consulting Alliance AG gegründet, die in der Struktur eines weltweiten Beraternetzwerkes ca. 20.000 Berater aus 29 Ländern zusammenfasst.

Im Jahre 2011 unterhält die PASS Consulting Group Geschäftsstellen in Aschaffenburg, Bad Mergentheim, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, München, Stuttgart und Miami (USA). Entwicklungszentren befinden sich in Würzburg, und Hyderabad (Indien).

Business Units und deren Geschäftsbereiche

Die PASS Consulting Group ist in sechs Bereiche ("Business Units") gegliedert, die Software-Lösungen und Beratungsleistungen für die Einzelbranchen Banking, Insurance, Logistics, Travel, TelCo und Government erbringen. Hinzu kommen vier Bereiche, die branchenübergreifend entlang der gesamten IT-Wertschöpfungskette arbeiten: Innovations, Sales, Technologies und Operations.

Alle Business Units erbringen in ihrem speziellen Tätigkeitsfeld Forschungsleistungen, betreuen Projekte für ihre Kunden, entwickeln brachenspezifische Software-Lösungen und bieten ihren Kunden Serviceleistungen an. Ein Beispiel ist die Kombination von Software as a Service (SaaS), Application Service Providing (ASP) und Rund-um-die-Uhr-Betreuung (Service Desk).
