Sir Michael Hugh Morgan CMG (1978) (* 18. April 1925) ist ein ehemaliger britischer Diplomat.

Leben

Michael Hugh Morgan studierte an der Shrewsbury School, Downing College, an der School of Oriental and African Studies an der Universität London.

Michael Hugh Morgan wurde von 1943 bis 1946 bei der British Army eingesetzt. 1946 war er bei Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service in Malaysia beschäftigt. Am 3. September 1956 trat er in den Auswärtigen Dienst. 1957 heiratete er Julian Veronica Bamfield. Sie haben einen Sohn. Im Oktober 1957 wurde er Botschaftssekretär erster Klasse in Peking. 1960 wurde er in der Botschaft in Belgrad beschäftigt. Von 13. April bis September 1964 war er zu Leyland Motors abgeordnet. Im September 1975 wurde er Home Inspector des Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Von 1977 bis 1981 war er Botschafter in Manila. Von April 1981 bis 1985 war er Hochkommissar (Commonwealth) in Freetown, Sierra Leone. [1]
