Handlung

Michael Shiver ist ein Taxifahrer in New York City. Eines Tages lernt er die vermögende Britin Sarah Easton kennen, die seine Kundin wird. Easton arbeitet als Model und ist mit Phillipe verheiratet, der sie liebt. Sie geht trotzdem eine Affäre mit Shiver ein.

Kritiken

Lawrence Van Gelder bezeichnete den Film in der New York Times vom 20. Juni 1997 als eine „narzisstische“ romantische Komödie. Er biete „ungehemmte“ Dialoge und ansprechende Bilder von Upper West Side. Die dramaturgische Spannung fehle ihm.[1]

Hintergründe

Der Film wurde in New York City und in Paris gedreht.[2] Seine Produktionskosten betrugen schätzungsweise eine Million US-Dollar.[3]
