Rotunno

Giuseppe Rotunno (* 19. März 1923 in Rom) ist ein italienischer Kameramann.

Rotunno begann 1951 als Camera Operator (dt. Kameraoperator) und arbeitet seit 1954 als Chefkameramann an mittlerweile 77 Spielfilmen.

1954 debütierte er als Kameramann mit dem Film Attila – Die Geißel Gottes. Es folgten u.a. 1956 Monte Carlo, 1966 Die Bibel, 1985 Red Sonja, 1987 Rent-A-Cop, 1994 Wolf – Das Tier im Manne und 1995 Sabrina. Oft arbeitete er mit den Regisseuren Federico Fellini und Luchino Visconti zusammen.

Für seine Arbeit an Hinter dem Rampenlicht wurde er 1979 für den Oscar nominiert.

In Filmabspännen darf sich Rotunno A.I.C. A.S.C. nennen.
