Zielgruppe sind hauptsächlich junge Afroamerikaner. Das Programm besteht zu einem großen Teil aus Musikvideos der Stilrichtungen Hip Hop, Soul und R&B sowie Filmen, Shows und Serien. Bekannt sind die BET Awards, die vom Sender verliehen werden.
