Website: http://www.dodgers.com/ Die Los Angeles Dodgers sind ein Major League Baseball-Team der National League. Die L.A. Dodgers entstanden aus den Brooklyn Dodgers durch Umzug im Jahre 1959. Diese Sitzverlegung gilt wohl immer noch als eine der spektakulärsten in der Geschichte des US- Profisports. Damit und mit dem Umzug der New York Giants nach San Francisco (seither San Francisco Giants) begann an der Westküste die Ära des Oberliga- (Major League) Baseballs, den es dort bis dahin nicht gegeben hatte. Die Dodgers tragen ihre Heimspiele seit dem Umzug im Dodger Stadium aus.
