Die Scottish Episcopal Church (Schottische Episkopalkirche) ist ein Teil der Anglikanischen Kirchengemeinschaft und vereinigt sich in sieben Diözesen:

An ihrer Spitze steht ein gewählter Primas, der keinen festen Sitz hat.

In der Auseinandersetzung mit der presbyterianischen Glaubensrichtung hielt sie am bischöflichen System fest und spaltete sich im Jahre 1689 von der größeren Church of Scotland ab. Im Jahre 1994 wurden die ersten Frauen zu Diakonen und zwei Jahre später zu Pastoren geweiht. Die Generalsynode von 2002 ermöglichte daraufhin die Bischofsweihe für Frauen.

Die Scottish Episcopal Church ist Mitglied der Porvoo-Gemeinschaft, mit deren Kirchen sie volle Kirchengemeinschaft vereinbart hat.
