Charles H. Joffe (* 16. Juli 1929 in Brooklyn, New York City; † 9. Juli 2008 in Los Angeles) war ein amerikanischer Filmproduzent.

Karriere

Joffe war bereits während seines Studiums des Journalismus an der Syracuse University freiberuflich als Talentspäher und Manager tätig. Ab 1953 bis in die späten 1980er Jahre arbeitete er mit Jack Rollins zusammen als Agent für Comedians wie Robin Williams und Billy Crystal. Er war der Produzent nahezu aller Filme von Woody Allen, den er als Drehbuchautor entdeckte und dem er eine erste Schauspielrolle im Spielfilm Was gibt’s Neues, Pussy? verschaffte. Joffe gewann 1978 als Co-Produzent von Der Stadtneurotiker den Oscar für den besten Film des Jahres. Er ist Vater der Regisseurin Nicole Holofcener.
