Die European Travel Commission (ETC) ist die Dachorganisation für 37 europäische Nationale Tourismus-Organisationen.
Organisation
Die ETC wurde 1948 gegründet und hat ihren Sitz in Brüssel. Ihre Aufgabe sieht sie in der weltweiten Vermarktung (Bewerbung) des Ziels "Europa" in Überseemärkten (USA, Kanada, Lateinamerika, Japan und Australien).
Das Budget der ETC betrug im Jahr 2009 inkl. der Tochtergesellschaft CET Marketing Services SPRL rund 1,5 Mio. Euro.[1].
Verantwortliche Personen
Zur Präsidentin der ETC wurde am 11. Juni 2010 Petra Hedorfer, Vorsitzende des Vorstandes der Deutschen Zentrale für Tourismus (DZT) gewählt. Chief Executive Officer ist seit dem 1. Juli 2010 der Belgier Raf de Bruyn.
