Liberal International

Die Liberale Internationale (Liberal International) ist der Weltverband der liberalen Parteien. Sie wurde 1947 gegründet und hat ihre Zentrale in London. Ihr Ziel ist es, als internationales Netzwerk liberale und demokratische Gedanken weltweit zu fördern.

Die FDP und Deutsche Gruppe der Liberal International e. V. (DGLI) gehören ihr als deutsche Mitglieder an. Aus der Schweiz nehmen die Freisinnig-Demokratische Partei (FDP) sowie der Parti libéral suisse (PLS) teil; aus Österreich seit 1993 (vorher von der FPÖ wahrgenommen) das Liberale Forum.

Die Jugendorganisation der Liberalen Internationalen ist die International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY).
